Historic Fireplace Considerations

Many Society Hill fireplaces date back centuries. These older designs often have smaller fireboxes than modern fireplaces. When you order, let us know if you need shorter pieces - we can cut to length.

Regular chimney maintenance matters more in older homes. Have yours inspected annually if you burn fires regularly.

Our Firewood

We supply seasoned hardwoods appropriate for indoor fireplace use:

• Oak - The reliable choice, burns steady with good heat
• Cherry - Fragrant, clean-burning, nice for living spaces
• Mixed Hardwood - Economical option, still quality wood

Everything is dried properly before delivery. We won't sell you green wood.

Society Hill Delivery

Street access in Society Hill can be tight. We're familiar with the neighborhood and can work with narrow streets and limited parking. Smaller delivery vehicles available when needed.

Standard drops are curbside or front sidewalk. We'll move wood to a back courtyard or basement entrance for an additional fee. Many Society Hill customers prefer smaller, more frequent deliveries given storage constraints.
